Tanjent formed in late 2000 at Amersham and Wycombe College, the line-up originally consisted of Andy Saxton on bass, Dave Cookson on guitar and Chris Compton on drums.
As time went on the band became more serious, bass guitarist Andy decided it was time for some changes to be made (meaning new musicians basicially!) so new recruits Adam Mason (guitar) and Owen Hughes-Holland (Drums) were soon snapped up.
