Saosin have pulled out of their upcoming UK tour with Aiden because, according to the band, it’s “its not the right time for us to be over there.”
“I wish I had some elaborate story about members losing limbs while shark diving, but the truth of the matter is, we didn't get a record released in the UK and [the response in] Europe was a lacklustre one at best,” said bassist Chris Sorenson in an official statement. “The bottom line is, it costs a lot to tour, especially overseas, and its never been more important [than] now to make sure that we are touring intelligently and not just because.
“We hope no one is super mad at us,” he added. “[We] promise that once we get a home figured out for the record, we will be back.”
However, Aiden frontman William Francis has confirmed that his band will still play the tour.
“I got a message from Saosin's management saying that the band has to pull off the tour for personal reasons, we hope that everyone is okay in their camp,” he wrote on his band's MySpace blog. “Not to fear, Aiden is fucking coming for you! We can't wait to get back over there - we have missed you all.”
