Band to look out for in 2005

So, you saw the NME Cool Single List. You applauded Martin Tomlinson, a man primarily famous for his ability to accurately lob horseshit at passers-by, sneaking in at Number Nine; but you still felt like something was missing.

Then it hit you like a slug to tha’ chest: “Where’s my Boyz-SEED? Because if ever there were characters worthy of your respect, is SEED their flamboyant genre-smashing style. I had the pleasure of listening to their up and coming Album, I was blown away. In particular their new single Midnight Walking. (WOW) Words can not explain the formidable force behind the music enough.

Seed invited me to one of their gigs at Ealing Boulevard they don't really do gig like anyone else either. Their set was delicate, hard hitting and perfectly crafted. They ache, tease and rejoice in all the right places, emphasised further by their lead guitarist ability to play Sophisticated notes yet beautiful at the same time.

Songs like the witfully gorgeous 'Houdini' and 'summer romancing' sound even more spectacular. Echoes of the hot chilli peppers creep in, but husky-throated singer Phil Marcs is sufficiently cheeky and entertaining to prevent any further comparisons
